A sunny morning, though with a cold wind, for a walk from Troopers Hill exploring the woodland and looking at the river and its wildlife before returning to Troopers Hill via Conham and Dundridge Park. We also visited the eighteenth centuary 'Bath House' in the woods. Rob Acton-Campbell described some of the history of the area and we were also joined by Harriet Alvis from the Bristol Avon Rivers Trust (BART) who told us something about her project. This walk was part of the Bristol Walking Festival, send your feedback via www.bristol.gov.uk/walkfestfeedback Supported by the St George Neighbourhood Partnership Bristol Green Capital Fund Find out about other walks & events in St George in 2015 >>Bristol Walking Festival - www.bristolwalkingfestival.co.uk |
